Gautam Gambhir has refused to contest the Lok Sabha elections. He is currently a BJP MP from East Delhi Lok Sabha seat. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, BJP had fielded Mahesh Giri from his ticket. Gautam Gambhir had won the East Delhi Lok Sabha seat in a big victory.
This decision of Gautam Gambhir is not going to surprise anyone. It was already being discussed that BJP may change at least five of its seven MPs in Delhi. Gautam Gambhir’s name is also included in these. The biggest reason behind this was considered to be his business busyness and inability to devote time to his Lok Sabha constituency.
Along with him, the name of Chandni Chowk MP Dr. Harsh Vardhan is also included among the faces that BJP can change. He has been a Lok Sabha MP for two consecutive terms. In his place, BJP can field a new face. The name of Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor is also included in these. State General Secretary Dinesh Pratap Singh’s claim from East Delhi Lok Sabha seat is considered strong. Dinesh Pratap Singh of Purvanchal has a good hold not only among the organization but also among the general public from which he can get benefit. A local sitting MLA is also presenting his claim from East Delhi seat.
Singer Hansraj Hans is currently the MP from North West Delhi Lok Sabha seat. But it is being said that the BJP leadership is not satisfied with his working style in his Lok Sabha constituency. His ticket may also be deducted. A new face can be fielded in his place. That means, on the lines of Gautam Gambhir, soon Hansraj Hans can also announce his departure from political innings.

Due to his strong hold on the voters of his caste, he has a significant influence on the politics of the state. For this reason, there was no possibility of fielding any other candidate on his seat till now.

That means, like Gautam Gambhir, he can also announce not to contest elections this time.
